History

In 1994, Mike Mathioudakis was encouraged by two of his largest clients to create his own financial services firm to assist owners of successful closely-held businesses.  As a result, Mike founded The Genesis Group in 1994.  The Genesis Group focused on comprehensive Family Wealth Planning and Business Succession for business owners and professionals.  Mike quickly found himself working with clients in many states including Indiana, Florida, Arizona, Oregon, Illinois and Kentucky.

In 1997, The Genesis Group affiliated with The Partners’ Group, and Mike became one of its shareholders.  The Partners’ Group consisted of more than one hundred of the top independent financial advisory firms in the US who all focused on working with successful business owners, executives, professionals and other wealthy families.  The Partners’ Group was acquired by National Financial Partners (NFP) and was later traded on the NYSE.

In 1999, Mike became the Senior Managing Director of the Indianapolis office for a boutique broker dealer and wealth advisory firm, PCG.  PCG had a network of approximately twenty-five offices across the country that served the business and financial needs of some of the country’s wealthiest and most successful business owners.

In 2009, The Genesis Group was resurrected and its name was changed to Genesis Advisors, LLC.  Genesis Advisors is a Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm and it continues the long history of The Genesis Group and PCG in serving the needs of the owners of successful closely-held businesses, their families and their businesses as well as professionals and affluent families.
